My name is Mrs Bird and I am the teacher in Room 8 with a fantastic class of Year 1 and 2 children.
Term 4
Term 4
In Term 4 literacy and numeracy continue to be a major part of our learning. We are also looking forward to our school production - Gross Busters as well as our Junior Athletics Day.
Term 3
Term 3
In Term 3 we continued to work hard in literacy and numeracy and we had a lot of fun singing and dancing as we began preparing for our school production.
We also developed our fitness as we prepared for our Junior School Cross country and enjoyed learning new running games with Mattie and cricket skills with Taranaki Cricket.
We learnt about dog safety, had a visit from Josephine from the South Taranaki District Library with all her great new books and spent time creating monsters with water colours.
The term concluded with new games from SPA and our Roar afternoon to celebrate the end of another great term.

Term 2
In Term 2 we worked hard in literacy and numeracy and we also prepared for assembly, created great art, explored and made our own marble runs and wore pink to support Pink Shirt Day.

In Term 1 we will be busy getting to know each other and we will spend a lot of time in the pool learning how to be safe in, through and around water. We will also have fun doing lots of art.
