My name is Mrs Bird and I am the teacher in Room 8 with a fantastic class of Year 2 children.
Term 4
Term 4
In Term 4 we will be finding out all about how living and working in our area has changed over time. This term we will also be busy learning how to run, jump and throw in preparation for our athletics day. Harold will also be visiting us this term.
Term 3
Term 3
In Term 3 we will be working hard on our Te Reo and learning lots of new words and phrases. We will also be busy training for the cross country as well as learning about dog safety and St Johns. We will also be Sea Cleaners and learn about keeping our oceans clean to help protect sea creatures like sea turtles.
Term 2
Term 2
In Term 2 we will be finding all about how to keep safe. We are going to be exploring what it means to be "Fire wise" as well as being safe around traffic and dogs.
Term 1
Term 1
In Term 1 we will be busy getting to know each other and we will spend a lot of time in the pool learning how to be safe in, through and around water. We will also have fun doing lots of art.
