Turuturu School is a

ENVIRO SCHOOL

Turuturu School has a fantastic Enviro Club with dedicated students.

Lead teacher: Mrs Smith

Enviro classes are run weekly throughout 2025.

Any children at Turuturu school can join and be part of this great group.

We meet at lunch time on Tuesdays throughout the term.

The chooks enjoy being hand fed by the students during lunchtimes.

Tiger Worm Farm

We have re-set up our Tiger worm farm with the help of Claire from Enviro Schools. The students are looking forward to collecting the worm wee to make into worm tea to feed our plants.

ENVIRO DAY JUNE 2025

45 of our ākonga from across the school become scientists for the day. Investigating soil types, bugs, and trash!

We made some into dried apple strips using a dehydrator.
