SPA - Supporting Parent Association

SPA is made up of a group of dedicated parents, a BOT representative and a teacher representative.  The main focus of SPA is to provide financial support, through fundraising, to the school.  This will enable the purchasing of those 'extra' items which will assist in the progression of each child's learning within the school. 

We have supported our  school in many ways, from  building new playgrounds, to purchasing games and activities for children in the classroom.  We regularly support the school library.

We run the Breakfast Club as well.
However, SPA is also interested in developing strong home school partnerships.

Government grants pay for some things in a school, such as staff salaries, the power bill, heating, building maintenance, cleaning supplies and telephone charges.  BUT....extras, such as additional books for the library, technological resources, playground equipment etc need to be funded by the school community. To assist with this funding SPA runs various activities throughout the year to help raise money. 
It does not have to be a lot of work at all.
