Welcome to Room 11. We are 25 wonderful Year3 students, and we are ready to embrace a fun-filled year of learning. Visit this site throughout the year to see what we are getting up to!
Term Four is set to be another busy and exciting term. We start the term with our Music through the ages school Production. Room 11 have been learning our dance steps and song lyrics with passion and are now ready, with the rest of the school, to hit the stage!
Other exciting events in term four include: Life Education, Beach Education, Athletics, Learning about the Ocean and beyond.
Term three sees us looking at the amazing human body, training for cross country, getting ready for our production by learning a 70s inspired dance number, and a whole lot more! It's set to be another fantastic term in Room 11.
In term two we will be looking at the importance of ANZAC Day and Matariki. We move from the pool to the field for our Healthy Active Living sessions, and of course engage in Reading, Writing and Maths. However we start the term with a school-wide Art walk-through.
We wear our pink with pride to support anti-bullying!!
Using technology to support our maths learning
With the beautiful sunny weather it is only fitting we start the year with a big focus on swimming! Having lessons in both our newly upgraded heated school pool. We will also delve into art, science and physical education, along with reading, writing and maths. It is going to be a fun term getting to know each other and learning wondrous things along the way!
Room 11 started the year hosting assembly with Room 8. We showed our school and whanau, the NZ native bird silhouettes on a mosaic background we created.
We love to put our maths minds on and explore our world.
Reading is fun on your own but even better when shared.
Art was a big focus this term. We love to be creative with pastels, paint and dye and now our classroom looks fabulous!
Term One saw us in our heated school pool learning about water safety and swimming skills.
