TERM 2 2023
This term we will continue to be busy with our Te Whare Tapa Wha learning. We have been focusing on Taha Whanau - the importance of the family to our hauora/wellbeing. Throughout the term we will be working on understanding all the walls and how they support us to be healthy individuals in all areas.
The walls are:
Taha Whanau - belonging to family and groups
Taha Tinana - our bodies and physical health
Taha Hinengaro - our emotions and mental health
Taha Wairua - our spiritual health
Taha Whenua - our ancestral roots and our environmental health
For Healthy Active Living otherwise known as PE we are linking social skills and key competencies to our PE lessons so the children will be learning physical skills and team and personal skills at the same time.
In Maths, we are continuing with Addition and Subtraction and the new aspect for the term is Patterns.
This term in Writing, the children will be learning how to structure texts effectively in order to communicate their learning.

TERM 3 2023
Welcome back to Term 3
This year is flying by and I have really noticed great developments in the children. They are progressing very well in our core subjects and I have seen noticeable growth in their maturity and social skills.
Each child is fully aware of their learning targets and are striving to achieve them.
This term we will be learning about Healthy Bodies - Healthy Minds. We will be exploring some of the wonderful things the human body can do and how we can look after them.
We are continuing learning about multiplicative thinking in Maths and writing a range of texts.
At the end of last term we had a great week of Construction. I was impressed with the ROAR values coming to the fore as the children planned, organised and carried out their individual projects. Have a look at these photos!
